God’s Ineffable Plan

October 18, 2025

I am a true believer. I believe that every person is knitted together in the womb with intention, that God has a plan and a purpose for each of us — a plan only He fully knows, and one He works together for His good.

In moments like this, I try to “be still and know that He is God.” But my human heart still grieves. And so, I let it. Because I am human.

I am a spiritual being having a human experience, and my human side — the part that clocks time and space on this side of the veil — sees the world in a unique way. We all do. I believe one of life’s most important journeys is learning how to align that perspective with what is good — and that is love.

I have worked hard over my life to heal myself and to forgive myself for all the places I “did not know better.” God had already done that work on the Cross, but I had to live into it — to become my beliefs — so that I could stand unshaken, even when I feel deeply.

I am grateful that I know the peace that surpasses understanding, that I can quiet my soul in an instant. My soul is my sacred home space; my body, the temple where His Spirit dwells.

But still, this hurts.

It is hard when we lose someone whose life and message felt so aligned with our own faith. This loss feels deep — as deep as when I lost my beloved aunt only a couple of months ago. I know she is on the other side, praying for us and doing her work for all of us here. And I can’t help but imagine that now, she gets to meet Charlie.

Charlie was special. His mind was quick, his courage unmistakable, and his commitment to truth unwavering. I am so sad that he is gone — but I trust that God has a plan.

And that plan is ineffable — too great, too holy, too mysterious to fully put into words.

People who do not know God may not understand this peace. They may find moments of stillness or comfort, but the true peace of Christ — the peace that heals the heart and steadies the soul — is something we only find when we seek Him, when we let Him show us what we cannot yet see.

We do not know what we are missing until we find Him. And finding Him takes courage.

📖 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
— Romans 8:28
